I have a beautifully sunny post today, a vegan golden milk recipe!
Bright golden color, you must admit it is magnificent.
I was debating regarding the translation to Hebrew
But is spells out very nicely.
Vegan Halav Zahav (Golden Milk)
It’s the ultimate winter drink,
one of the best nourishing, anti-inflammatory, and
warmth-giving beverages there are.
It’s calming at bedtime, and just plain tasty all the time.

And actually, you can find it anywhere.
The basic idea is to use turmeric, which is anti-inflammatory,
And make those properties more available for the body to absorb
By adding black pepper and some fat.
The black pepper is hardly felt taste-wise, and cooking the turmeric with
Coconut oil provides the necessary fat needed for body absorption.
Get it? Simplicity!

I learned turmeric is a superfood, we can’t go wrong here.
This here is just a simple recipe for the yummy golden vegan milk itself.
You can make a big batch of this healthy paste and
keep it refrigerated for a couple of weeks,
for daily use.
Take a half a teaspoon of the paste with a cup of your favorite vegan milk.
Preferably coconut (as it contains even more needed fat)
And some sweetener such as coconut sugar,
or maple syrup or the traditional honey.
There you have it. Perfection.
