I always dreamt of making those amazing chocolate bonbons,
Which melt on your tongue, but give a nice crunch when you bite them.
Funny what you dream about 😉 anyway,
It also had to be a healthy, beneficial superfood treat.
I encountered this fabulous combo of sesame and chocolate,
It’s on the same degree of loveliness as peanut butter and chocolate, but
And this is a big BUT, it’s much healthier.
So, sesame-chocolate takes the cup here, pun intended,
in the health superfood arena, as the perfect combo.
Delicious dark chocolate covering a decadent sesame sweet interior,
But I had to find a nice healthy crunch to go with it.
Not an empty calorie one, but
If we are going here for a superfood treat, the crunch must follow suit.
Well, you must be curious, where did I find the superfood crunch, right?
The crunch came from a very unexpected pantry ingredient, raw buckwheat!
Plain raw buckwheat groats, if you dare, take one and bite on it.
It’s crunchy, it’s raw, it’s healthy!
They even have a pleasant taste.
Now that the crunch is solved, I set out to make those beautifully healthy decadent superfood treat!
Their only disadvantage, which can be turned into an advantage, by the way,
is, they cannot be kept out side in the warm summer days,
but must be kept in the fridge or freezer.
And, did I tell you? They are super-duper easy to assemble.
